Tot Shabbat & Family Shabbat Services
Tot Shabbat – Fourth Friday of the Month at 6:30pm
Families with children under 6 years old celebrate Shabbat in a fun way and connect with other families with children of the same age. This brief service features upbeat songs, simple prayers and engaging stories. Tot Shabbat takes place from 6:30-7:00pm and is followed by a juice and challah gathering.
Family Shabbat – First Friday of the Month at 6:30pm
Family Shabbatot are kid-friendly, musically-oriented, and encourage children’s participation. All are welcome and these services are especially popular with families with children between the ages of 5-13 years of age. Family Shabbatot have a shorter service and the sermon is replaced by a story. Birthday blessings are offered for anyone celebrating a birthday that month.
Services are followed by an Oneg gathering with folk dancing led by a dance specialist and all ages and levels of folk dancing experience are invited to join in. Students in the Grades 4 through 7 help lead a Family Shabbat Service once a year. Family Shabbatot are a great way to connect with Shabbat and with families with young children.
