Why do we charge Non-Members for High Holy Day tickets?
Our members, who support our Temple year round, also
absorb the overwhelming cost of our High Holy Day services. To help defray
some costs, we ask non-members who are able to do so to contribute by
purchasing tickets.
We do not want finances to stand in the way of anyone
joining us for services or from participating in our
community. Please contact the Temple office if you have any
questions or concerns about ticket costs.
- The cost of a High Holy Day ticket can later be
applied towards Temple Sinai membership if you decide to join before the end of the calendar year.
- Contributions for High Holy Day tickets are
tax-deductible and non-refundable.
- Full time college/grad students and actively
military personnel are invited to attend at no charge.
- Reciprocity = If you are a current member at
another Reform synagogue you may attend our services at no charge. To
receive tickets, have your home synagogue fax a “reciprocity
letter” to
us at (510) 465-0603.
Are you considering joining Temple Sinai?
People often use the High Holy Days as a time to get
acquainted with a congregation. We welcome you to do so. Please
contact Lisa Hanauer, our Membership & Communications Director at (510) 451-3263, extension 302
or lisa@oaklandsinai.org for
more information.
