Temple Sinai Preschool
Join Us for PROSPECTIVE PARENT NIGHT: Monday, January 13, 2014 - 7:30 pm
From the moment they walk in the door, Temple Sinai Preschool (TSP) children are actively engaged in dynamic learning and an innovative, Jewish early childhood curriculum. TSP is an extraordinary developmental, play-based Jewish preschool. Our outstanding faculty are masters at nurturing young developing minds and bodies, and instilling a love of Jewish tradition and learning. Our low student/teacher ratio allows us to support the social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs of each and every child in our school.
TSP weaves Jewish traditions, values and rituals into daily preschool life through art, music, drama, storytelling, cooking, science and nature projects. The Jewish holidays are incorporated into classroom life and celebrated as a community throughout the year. The children bake fresh challah for our weekly preschool Shabbat service, learn basic Hebrew vocabulary, and have regular visits from the rabbis and cantor. We join with the larger Temple Sinai congregation wherever possible.
The TSP community welcomes all families including Jewish, interfaith, multi-racial/multi-cultural, non-Jewish, LGBT and single parent families. The close relationships that develop at our preschool and synagogue become friendships that last a life time.
Berkeley Parents Network posting about our school: “Temple Sinai Preschool is phenomenal – in so many ways! The teachers are amazing; I have personally learned a lot from them! The director is so devoted and makes it a priority to get to know each and every child. I can’t think of a more nurturing place, but also a place where a kid gets to be a kid. They have wonderful enrichment activities, regular visits from the Rabbis and the cantor. My child wakes up every weekend asking if he can go to preschool that morning”.
