LGBT / Out & About at Temple Sinai (OATS)

Out and About at Temple Sinai is back for an ninth year of furthering Temple Sinai’s mission of being a welcoming and inclusive congregation for all – including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning Jews, along with our families, friends, and allies. We are a group of Temple Sinai congregants who want to foster a LGBT Jewish community in the East Bay. We host Shabbat potluck dinners, march in the San Francisco Pride Parade, organize a group outing to the Jewish Film Festival, and host a Chanukah party in a member’s home.

Members of our group participate in the larger Jewish community on panels at conferences and we host speakers and film viewings. We are also involved in shaping Reform Jewish education so that it develops and awareness of the full variety of family structures and relevance of life cycle events to LGBT Jews.

Out & About events are open to the entire Bay Area Jewish community – you don’t have to be a member of Temple Sinai to join us for any of our events. For more information, please join our informal email list by clicking here.

All Temple Members, family, friends and non-members are welcome to Out and About activities. We look forward to meeting you!
