Journey to Sinai:
A Creative Service by the Women of Temple Sinai
Erev Shabbat, February 10 at 7:30pm
Please join the Women of Temple Sinai for our annual member- led Shabbat service. We come together in prayer as we examine our journeys together . . . stories shared by many Jews, stories that involve many who are not Jews, stories of those who have become Jews. All are invited, as this is not just a service for women but one for the whole Sinai community.

	Welcome to Temple Sinai! Temple Sinai is a warm and vibrant multi-generational synagogue in the heart of Oakland. We are a Reform congregation offering Shabbat and holiday services that encompass a wide-variety of music and prayer styles. Erev Shabbat Family Service Led by the 3rd & 5th Grades Friday, February 3 at 6:30pm Come support our 3rd and 5th graders as they participate in our monthly family services. Join us any time from 5:30pm for an easy pizza dinner. To rsvp for the dinner, click here. Shabbat Morning Service Saturday, February 4 at 10:30am Bat Mitzvah of Lily Majteles in the Sanctuary. The Ethics of Money Sundays, February 5 - May 6 at 9:30am How should income be distributed? What obligations do the wealthy have to the poor? How do we create a just society in regards to money and class? Join us for this ongoing text study and discussion about Jewish ethics and economic life. Free and no advance registration is required.	Anat Hoffman Saturday, February 11 at 7:30pm Anat Hoffman, the director of the Israel Religious Action Center and co-founder and chairwoman of Women of the Wall has promoted Jewish pluralism, tolerance, and equality in Israeli society as a leader in the struggle for the right of women to wear a pray shawl and read from the Torah scroll at the Western Wall. Hosted at Congregation Netivot Shalom in Berkeley. Rabbi Stephen Lewis Fuchs, D. Min. Sunday, February 12 Bagels and Coffee at 9:00am Presentation and Discussion at 9:30am Join us in welcoming Rabbi Stephen Lewis Fuchs, the President of the World Union for Progressive Judaism (WUPJ). The WUPJ is an organization committed to strengthening Jewish life by connecting Jews to one another and to Israel. Rabbi Fuchs is a dynamic leader who has undertaken major social campaigning for nearly 40 years and fostered dialogue and understanding. Join us as he discusses the tensions and issues facing progressive Jews in Israel.
