Shabbat Minyan (Alternative Shabbat Services)

 
Second Saturday of the month at 10:30am
 
Once a month Temple Sinai holds a morning service at Merritt Village as an alternative to the traditional service in the Sanctuary that often includes a Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Services include drums, violin, guitar, and flute, as well as vocal music.
 
These services are organized and conducted by members of the Temple Ritual Committee. They use the new Reform movement prayerbook, Mishkan T'filah, and a prayer compilation with alternative prayers and blessings.

The Ritual Committee welcomes volunteers who wish to participate, such as by reading Torah or Haftarah, by giving a D'var Torah or leading a discussion based on the Torah portion, or by reading or chanting a portion of the liturgy, in Hebrew or English.
