Sue Bojdak joined the Temple Sinai staff as Director of Education in 2007 after serving for five years as the Director of Children's and Family Education at Congregation Sha'ar Zahav in San Francisco. Sue is particularly interested in creating progressive learning models of Jewish education, facilitating a wide variety of learning opportunities, and fostering and celebrating the diversity of our Jewish community.
Sue completed her BA at the State University of NY at Stony Brook with a major in Religious Studies. She spent her junior year at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and earned her MA in Divinity from the Divinity School at the University of Chicago. Sue also holds an Adult Education Credential from the State of California.
Originally from Rochester, NY, Sue considers the East Bay her true home. She loves the weather, the ocean, the Redwoods, the produce and the diversity of our community. Sue lives in Berkeley with her partner, Dana Sheanin, and their four children.
