Adult Education  

JCC of the East Bay:   Serving Northern Alameda with education, activities and kosher lunches for all ages, Jewish Music Festival, and more.
Lehrhaus Judaica:  This adult school for Jewish studies provides courses on interfaith issues, Jewish history, theology, links between Judaism and other world religions; Introduction to Judaism and Choosing Judaism series.

Community Organizations

Jewish Community Federation of the Greater East Bay:  Provide the Jewish community opportunities to connect through social programs, leadership development, education, social action, and philanthropy.

Jewish Community Relations Council:  Through education, community collaboration and advocacy, they work towards a more just society and a strong, vibrant Jewish community—both in the United States and in Israel.

Interfaith & Intercultural Outreach  

Be'chol Lashon (In Every Tongue):  Be'chol Lashon grows and strengthens the Jewish people through ethnic, cultural, and racial inclusiveness.

Building Jewish Bridges:  Outreach to interfaith couples.  They provide a comfortable, nonjudgmental place in which you can start exploring religious and cultural differences.

Jewish Welcome Network:  Provides outreach consultation and resources to synagogues, Jewish schools and agencies of all denominations and affiliations in the Bay Area. Their mission is to help organizations increase their welcome and engagement of Jews, interfaith families, and all those who are interested in exploring Judaism and Jewish culture.

Israel Connections 

ADL(Anti-Defamation League):  fights anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry, defends democratic ideals and protects civil rights for all.

AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee):  Works to help make Israel more secure by ensuring that American support remains strong.

Blue Star PR:  Create messages that humanize perceptions of Israel.

New Israel Fund:  They are committed to democratic change within Israel, and fight for social justice and equality for all Israelis.

Museums & Collections

The Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life:  A museum of art and history focused on the Jewish experience.  A place of discovery for Jews and the community at large, and contributes to international scholarship and culture.

Contemporary Jewish Museum:   Engage audiences with dynamic exhibitions and programs that explore contemporary perspectives on Jewish culture, history, art, and ideas.

Oysongs.com:  A source for Jewish music to be downloaded either as pdf files for sheet music or mp3 files for audio music.

Social Action 

Progressive Jewish Alliance:  Dedicated to the Jewish traditions of pursuing peace, promoting equality and diversity, and working for social and economic justice.

Social Services  

Jewish Family & Children's Services:  Provide direct services to those most in need, offering a center for older adult services, parenting & youth services, counseling services, refugee & immigrant services, and volunteer services.

Jewish Vocational Services:  Build the skills needed to succeed in today's workplace.  They assist individuals to achieve self-suffiency, and help business fulfill their employment goals.

Reutlinger Community for Jewish Living:  A senior residential community that offers quality health care, dining and enrichment programs that stimulate the mind-body-spirit through friendship, respect and dignity.

Shalom Bayit:  Bay Area Jewish women working to end domestic violence.

Sinai Memorial Chapel:  helps Jewish families faced with the loss of a loved one. Although no one is ever adequately prepared to confront death, familiarity with Jewish traditional practices is a comfort during moments of bereavement. The Funeral Directors at Sinai Memorial Chapel help guide families in the traditional and reverent approach, which our Jewish faith dictates at a time of loss.
