Annual Giving 2022-23

We are honored to begin our tenure as your new congregational co-presidents. As women who are deeply connected to our temple “family” in many ways, we are humbled to be able to serve in this capacity.

Temple Sinai is entering an exciting period as we return in person to the synagogue, rebuild connections, and forge new ways to engage and grow our diverse community. Today, together with our dynamic clergy and staff, we ask you to join us in supporting the 5783 Annual Giving Campaign. The funds raised during this campaign allow us to continue to innovate and to maintain Temple Sinai as a home for spirituality, ritual, tradition, and belonging. Perhaps most importantly, they help us move forward into the future.

It was wonderful to return to in-person High Holiday services this fall, and it is energizing to be present on the Sinai campus for programs and events. Yet one of the few blessings of the pandemic was learning how to use technology to involve members who can't attend in person due to health issues, disability, or distance. Going forward, we are committed to maintaining a hybrid model for many programs as a way to involve and include the full range of our community. In addition to the costs of numerous technology upgrades, we continue to face the costs of ongoing temple life such as staff compensation that keeps pace with inflation, repairs to the dome and roof of our beautiful Sanctuary, and security for the temple entrances. Operating the synagogue in new and creative ways is made possible by the generous support and engagement of our members.

We ask you to contribute to this year’s Annual Giving Campaign as we work to foster deeper engagement and connection while also improving our sacred spaces, in-person programs, and technology. Thank you in advance for your generous financial support in whatever amount makes sense for you and your family.

In Judaism and in life, “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” Together we will continue to grow and remain a thriving, vibrant community.

L’shalom,
