The LA Trip is Back! We are so excited for this trip and hope you will join us! Registration deadline is 10/30.

Who: 8th-9th Graders of Temple Sinai (next year’s trip will just be for 8th graders so we encourage current 8th graders to sign up this year). Rabbi Bressler and Hadas will be joining the teens in LA — more staff to be announced depending on group size!

What: Three unforgettable days and two nights of Jewish communal experiences: living, traveling, eating, amusement park and museum going, and Jewish learning … all with Temple Sinai friends and staff in Los Angeles!

When/Where:  Saturday, February 14th - Monday, February 16th. Drop off and pick up will be at the OAK Airport (exact time and location TBD).

Excursions: Universal Studios, Museum of Tolerance, Santa Monica Pier and beach, The Grove/Farmer’s Market, Escape Room LA, Skirball Center, and more! Please note: Scheduled activities are subject to change at any point, in the event of unforeseen circumstances. We cannot guarantee any specific scheduled activity.

Transportation: We will fly down to Los Angeles and travel within Los Angeles on a charter bus.

Accommodations: We will stay in dedicated hotel rooms with fellow teens and chaperones in rooms close by. Teens will be housed four to a room.

What’s included: Close supervision, accommodations, transportation to, from, and within LA, all breakfasts, and dinners. Additional spending money will be needed for lunches and any shopping/spending the teens wish to do. More detailed information will be provided closer to the event.

Cost: To cover all expenses, the trip costs $1,667/person. Thanks to generous support from Temple Sinai, we are able to offer a subsidized price for this trip of $833.50. If you are able to pay the full price to help offset the additional costs, we are grateful for your generosity.

If you would like to request an additional scholarship, please submit the $100 deposit. Rabbi Bressler will follow up to seek additional information after you submit the form. We will get back to you as soon as we can. Confidentiality is guaranteed.

I give my child(ren) permission to participate in the 8th - 9th Grade LA Trip provided by Temple Sinai from February 14 – 16, 2026. I understand that participation is voluntary and that the Temple Sinai staff do not assume liability in the case of accident or injury.

I understand that an attempt will be made to locate me in case of emergency or accident, but I hereby authorize Temple Sinai staff to call a physician or seek emergency room treatment as necessary for my child, in case of an emergency, and agree to pay all expenses incurred (this authorization is given pursuant to the provisions of section #25.8 of the Civil Code of the State of California).

Total Charges

The cost of the trip is $1667.00. Thanks to generous subsidies from Temple Sinai, we are able to offer all families a subsidized price of $833.50. This price includes airfare, hotels, all ground travel in LA, supervision, entrance fees, most meals (breakfasts and dinners).

No one will be turned away for lack of funds. If you would like to request an additional scholarship, please submit the $100 deposit, and Rabbi Bressler will follow up to collect additional information.
