Learning from our Youth: Julia Fromson-Mayhew shares her journey of leading an Israel/Palestine Dialogue Group at the College Preparatory School
After October 7, 2023, tensions were high on high school and college campuses across the United States. In response, Julia and several other students at College Prep established the Coalition for Coexistence, a group of Jewish and Muslim students committed to dialogue and understanding one another’s perspectives on the conflict. Julia will share her experiences facilitating this group and the ways that the group sought to maintain a cohesive high school community while honoring the experiences, perspectives, and needs of all students. Please join us for a powerful conversation between Julia and Rabbi Mates-Muchin, exploring meaningful ways to strengthen community and relationships even in politically divisive times.
