Please Join Us for Shabbat Morning Services with the Lay-Led Minyan on December 10 at 10:30 a.m.
Isaac Zones will lead the music along with Nathaniel Markman. Robert Unger, Susan Levy, and Catherine DeCuir will chant Torah from the weekly parashah, Vayishlach, Genesis 32:4-36:43. David Jackson will present our drash, and Lora Thielbar will be coordinating the service.
The service will be primarily in-person, in the Chapel.
- Wearing a mask at Temple Sinai is highly recommended, but not required, for in-person events inside the synagogue. For details, see https://www.oaklandsinai.org/safe-gathering
As always, we seek to have many individuals participate in the readings and other elements of the service. If you are interested in leading a reading or in some other role (e.g., opening the Ark), please contact Lora Thielbar before the service at lorathielbar@gmail.com
- Due to the nature of our streaming service, attendees will need to attend in person in order to participate.
Streaming will be available, via the temple’s LiveControl system.
- Please bear with us as we navigate to a new normal in terms of streaming!
- Watch your email for another reminder later in the week with the link to join remotely, or check the announcement in the temple’s eNews later in the week.
- Please note that while we are pleased that Live Control produces better sound quality than Zoom, it does not allow remote participation except within the chat function; remote participants will not be able to be heard in the chapel. We therefore encourage you to attend in person if possible.
- For those joining remotely, please use this link.
A potluck lunch will follow the service, with tables set up both indoors, at the back of the chapel, and outdoors, in the Sacred Garden (weather permitting). We invite you to bring something to share, but please join us, whether or not you are able to contribute.
Please join us! Pray, Eat, Schmooze.
The Shabbat Minyan Committee: Lora Thielbar, Bob Unger, Dan Fendel, Matti Fromson, Steve Goldstein, Bob Knoll, and Jan Taksa
