Shabbat Morning Minyan
Saturday, June 10, 10:30am, Double Classroom (third floor, at the end of the hall)

Joel Siegel will lead the music with Michael Gill. Madeline Nadel, Jonathan Nadel, and Rem Van Tijen will chant Torah from the week's parashah, B’ha’alot’cha, Numbers 8:1−12:16, with the reading itself from Numbers 10:29-36. We will read a selection from the haftarah, which is Zechariah 2:14-4:7. Laurie Earp will present our drash and Dan Fendel will be coordinating the service.

While repairs are being undertaken in the sanctuary and b’nei mitzvah services are taking place in Albers Chapel, we will continue to meet in the double classroom on the third floor. We hope to be back in the chapel after the June service, as there is no bar/bat mitzvah in either July or August, and there is the possibility of the sanctuary repair being completed by September.

Space and technological limitations have hindered our ability to stream the service, so while we are meeting in the upstairs classrooms, the minyan service will take place only in person. We are looking forward to returning to a hybrid model when we are able to return to Albers Chapel. Wearing a mask is strongly recommended, but not required, for in-person events inside the synagogue. For guidelines, see: https://www.oaklandsinai.org/safe-gathering.

As always, we seek to have many individuals participate in the readings and other elements of the service. If you are interested in taking on a role at the June 10 service, please contact Dan Fendel before the service at dfendel@sfsu.edu

A potluck lunch will follow the service, with tables and food set up in third-floor classrooms. We invite you to bring something to share; but please join us, whether or not you are able to contribute to the meal.

Please join us! Pray, Eat, Schmooze.

The Shabbat Minyan Committee: Steve Goldstein, Bob Knoll, Jan Taksa, Dan Fendel, Matti Fromson, and Lora Thielbar.
