Children's Services and Childcare

Rosh HaShanah (September 30) and Yom Kippur (October 9)
2:30pm in the Temple Sinai Sanctuary

These afternoon kid-friendly services include singing, storytelling and lots of fun for families with children 5 and under. On Rosh HaShanah, the children sing Happy Birthday to the world and blow shofars. On Yom Kippur, parents and children are given “boo boo Band-Aids” and apologize to each other for any hurt feelings over the last year. The children also sit in the aisle of the Sanctuary and we unroll the Torah across their laps. This is a favorite service for most parents!
Passes are not required for the Children’s Services.

Childcare (18 months - 4 years)
We offer babysitting/childcare for the morning services held on Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur at the Temple Sinai Sanctuary.
The cost is $20 per child, per service.

Children’s Program (K – 3rd Grade)
The High Holy Days Children's Program coincides with morning services held on Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur.
At Temple Sinai, this program provides a special morning of art, music, storytelling, worship, and other activities appropriate to the celebration of these Holy Days for students in K-3rd grade. A snack will be provided.
This program is free of charge, although registration is required.

Pre-registration for both Childcare and the Children's Program is required at least 5 days before the program so that we may adequately arrange for staffing and snacks.
