Kesher is our Jewish education program for TK-5th grade that meets Sunday mornings throughout the year. 
Kesher, which means connection in Hebrew, aims to help each child connect with their own unique expression of Judaism. It also fosters connections among children and families, as well as with meaningful Jewish rituals and experiences. We utilize social, emotional and spiritual learning frameworks to explore ways in which Judaism can support children in important aspects of their own human development.

A typical K-5th grade Kesher Sunday looks like:

• Time for T’filah (communal prayer, and families are encouraged to join us!)
• Grade level classroom learning time around year long themes: Link to year long learning themes 
• Hafsakah (recess & snack break)
• Specials (which include music, art, cooking, clergy visits & more!)

TK @ Kesher

Kesher is excited to announce the addition of a TK class that will meet according to an adjusted schedule parallel to their K-5 Kesher peers. The Kesher TK experience involves parents as we  create a bridge between our Sinai preschool and religious school communities, helping families to make a smooth transition into the ongoing adventure of Jewish learning at Sinai. We also welcome families who did not attend Sinai’s preschool as we build this cohort community.

Kesher @ Camp Newman

We are also excited to invite our Kesher 2nd-5th graders to join us for Fall Camp at Camp Newman — a weekend of campfires, climbing the Alpine Tower, art, sports and an amazing Shabbat celebration. Together with friends from around the Bay Area, we will have the opportunity to deepen our Kesher bonds and make new friends in the beautiful Santa Rosa hills. 

School’s Out Days

In this coming year, we are thrilled to continue our Club Kesher School’s Out days to serve families with fun, safe, inclusive themed days of activities at Sinai when school is out. More details to come.
