Temple Talk

Dear Fellow Congregants,
 
A message was sent earlier this week (on December 1, 2022) to alert you all to the upcoming special meeting and congregational vote. As of 4:00pm, December 4, 2022, the voting period begins and will continue through 12:00pm on December 16, 2022. Instructions to cast a ballot in-person or remotely are included below, as are details about the upcoming informational sessions.   

As a reminder, the Special Meeting of the congregation and congregational vote will take place December 11, 2022, from 9:00am – 11:00am in the Sanctuary. The meeting will be live and in-person with an option to participate remotely. We encourage all adult members of the congregation to vote, with a maximum of two votes per household. Votes may be submitted in-person at the Special Meeting, or by absentee ballot. 
 
To vote by absentee ballot you may:

1. Vote online from 4:00pm on December 4 until December 16, 2022, at 12:00pm. Use this link to vote.  
2. Mail the attached ballot (download here) to Temple Sinai, 2808 Summit Street, Oakland CA 94609 (please write “BALLOT ENCLOSED” on the outside of the envelope); or
3. Hand-deliver the ballot to the Temple Sinai main office.

Absentee ballots must be received in the Temple office, or submitted online, by 12:00pm on Friday, December 16. Please note that congregants who vote by absentee ballot may still attend the meeting on Sunday, December 11. We encourage all to attend, but remind you that votes may only be cast once. 

In-person voting will take place between 9:00am and 11:00am at the Special Meeting on December 11. Voting via absentee ballot (either via paper or electronic ballot) will continue until December 16 at 12:00pm. If you have additional questions or concerns, please reach out to us directly or read the congregational vote FAQ here.
