Ways to Help in Israel and Gaza

Many have asked what we can do to make an impact on what is going on in the Middle East. One way is to make donations to those working on the ground in Israel and Gaza to support humanitarian efforts.

There are many organizations to support, here are two suggestions:

Hostages and Missing Families Forum—Supporting the families of the hostages, both those who remain in captivity and those who have come home as well as continued efforts to advocate for the hostages through protests, advocacy, and more.

New Israel Fund Humanitarian Aid for Gaza—NIF is raising funds to support organizations who provide humanitarian aid to the civilians suffering in Gaza.

Texas Flood Disaster Aid

We are devastated by the flash flood and severe weather disaster in Texas, which has caused unimaginable loss. Among the tragedies is the heartbreaking loss of many young lives at Camp Mystic in Hunt, Texas. We know how special summer camp is for so many in our community — a place where young people feel like the best version of themselves. Our hearts break for the Mystic community and all those impacted by this tragedy. We pray for healing and rebuilding.

Gratefully, there are many organizations supporting the victims of the flood. The Jewish community in nearby Austin has created a fund where all donations are going directly to supporting victims and rebuilding efforts. Click this link to donate to Shalom Austin's Flood Relief Campaign.

Ways to Help Israel

The greater national Jewish community is consolidating its efforts and raising money together to help support victims in Israel. The funds will be collected through the local Jewish Federations.
