Tuition and Enrollment Policies

Early Bird Tuition for the 2022-2023 school year:

K-3 $ 945
4-6 $ 1667
7-8 $ 1060
9-12 $ 1060

 

Prices will increase by $100 after the early bird deadline of July 19th! In addition to receiving reduced tuition for early bird registration, families who register by July 19th will also receive some fun Temple Sinai Youth Education swag! Payment Policies

Tuition and fees, paid in full, are due with this registration form. If payment in full now presents a hardship, a deposit of one third the total amount due will be accepted. The balance will automatically be charged in two quarterly installments from the date of your first payment at the time of registration.

 

Scholarships

Limited scholarships are available. Scholarship money applies to tuition only. Families requesting scholarships are required to pay a $100 non-refundable deposit upon registration which will be credited towards tuition payment. Scholarship requests are made directly through the registration process. If applying for a scholarship, you must register by the early bird deadline of July 19th 2022.

 

Refund Policy

If your child withdraws from classes

  • 100% of tuition refunded through 2nd week of classes
  • 50% of tuition refunded through week 8 of classes
  • 25% of tuition refunded through week 13 of classes
  • No refunds issued after week 13 of class.

2022-2023 Covid-19 Vaccination Policy 

Temple Sinai requires all children ages 5 and up who attend services and other temple-sponsored events, including religious school, to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a 2 dose series of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine. Families must provide proof of vaccination prior to the start of school. Booster doses are encouraged for all eligible children. Currently, they are approved and recommended by the CDC for all children ages 5 and up.  Our vaccination policy for young children is consistent with that of the Oakland Unified School District, as well as most synagogues in the area.  

 

Membership Policy

Temple Sinai Membership “in good standing” is required for enrollment. You must renew your Temple membership for the July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023 fiscal year before registering your child(ren) for Youth Education. In addition, you must be current on any financial obligations to the Temple for previous membership pledges or education fees. B'nai Mitzvah Policy

Your child must be registered for the full year of Youth Education at the time you schedule your B'nei Mitzvah date, and must maintain attendance during the years leading up to and including the full year of the B'nei Mitzvah ceremony.
